I am a Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at St Hilda's College, Oxford and an Associate Professor in Philosophy at the University of Oxford. My research focuses primarily on questions in the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, and the philosophy of psychiatry, but it extends to issues in epistemology and the philosophy of science.
Currently, I am thinking about self-knowledge and our knowledge of other minds, about the role of imagination in delusional cognition, and about the nature of self-consciousness. I am also curious about the ways in which people think about what is possible and about sensory imagination.
Previously, I was a Birmingham Fellow at the University of Birmingham and a Lecturer in Philosophy at King's College London. I also previously held an Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oxford.
